The Funny Farm

This is the story of Martin Preston, the forgotten child-and his extended family, a ragtag bunch of reprobates including adopted children, foster children, and grandchildren who come and go through the doors of the house known as “The Funny Farm,” their lives forever affected-born in the small logging town of Fairview, located along Highway 101 in Washington State, in the Pacific Northwest, who aspires to be a novelist, his experience growing up in a dysfunctional home, and how he lives to middle-age, has professional and private successes and failures, and then after his parents die he is thrust into a bitter legal battle over a last will and testament for the property and estate, faced with the loss of a legacy, and confronted with family disintegration and lineage termination.
